Filmmaking course for young people aged 9-19 years

Film Academy Milton Keynes is a film-making program aimed at introducing young people to the skills of making films.

Young people learn to create film scripts, prepare story boards, crew and cast for their production, carry out pre-production activities, film and edit their films.

We create learning experiences and opportunities for young people by taking them on trips and organising lectures with industry figures.

The films produced are premiered to family, friends and colleagues at a red carpet premiere.

We started as Junior Filmmakers on January 3rd 2013 and we have worked with more than a 2000 children in and out of schools in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and Bedford to produce more than 250 films and hold almost 200 film premieres.

We are now Film Academy Milton Keynes for young people from 9 to 18 years.

Trainers

All our trainers have a Level Three in Education and Assessment and they all have SEND training.

Child Safety

We take child safety very seriously.  All our staff are DBS checked and we do run safeguarding workshops for our staff.

You are welcome to ask for the DBS certificate of any staff who works with your children.
